Getting Started

Welcome to DrillFlo—let’s get your first drill on the field.

Create Your First Drill

After signing in, you’ll land on your Dashboard. From here, you have two options:

  • Start a new drill from scratch

  • Use a template to kickstart your design

Choose what works best for your project, and you’ll be taken straight into the drill editor.

Add & Manage Performers

To build your formation:

  1. Go to the top menu and click Performers

  2. Select Performer Settings to add new performers or adjust existing ones

You can name performers, assign sections, and manage colors and symbols for easy identification.

Add Audio

Need to sync movement with music? No problem.

  1. Go to Project in the top menu

  2. Choose Audio

  3. Upload your audio file and trim it to fit your drill timing

Adjust the Field Layout

Customize the field to match your band’s needs:

  1. Go to Project > Field Settings

  2. Choose your hash mark style: High School, College, or Professional

  3. Toggle Endzones on or off depending on your preference

Manage Pages and Timing

  • Use the bottom timeline to add or delete pages (sets)

  • Adjust counts per page and tempo using the top control bar

This helps you control how your drill flows from one set to the next.

Design Tools & Modes

On the left-hand toolbar, you can switch between:

  • Pan

  • Select & Move Performers

  • Draw Shape

  • Comment

You can also use keyboard shortcuts (1, 2, 3, 4) to quickly switch modes while designing.

That’s it—you’re ready to start designing formations and bringing your show to life. For more tips, check out the rest of the Help Center or drop us a line at [email protected].
